Original Pics - Accident Pic

Post by EKfanPaul »

How's this for a hard hit? Notice the angle of the body.
It is at right angle to the pole with the front going the other way.
I dare say a fair amount of speed has caused this. It looks like he's come down the road and failed to take the bend.
Apologies if you find this gruesome, I'm into peroid pics

I think they may have had a headache after that,
That's if they had a head left.

I'd say that was a fatality. All the kinetic energy upon impact in our old buses gets transfered straight to the occupants. That and possibly no seatbelts.

Here's an FB Ute with a Camper canopy that tried to cross a rail Crossing in Melbourne whilst a good ole 'Red Rattller' train was coming through.
Fortunately the occupants may have come out better. Kettles and pots & pans and all sorts in the back of the ute.

The EH Vs EJ is a great pic. Thanks

What gets me about the EK one is how hard he hit . (And imagining how fast he may have been travelling and if alcohol was involved)
Also, the car was only 4 or 5 years old at the time so there would have been no structural rust to assist in the car folding up.

Once, when I was about 7 or 8 I was at a summer night party for our parents. We kids from the party were wandering the street down the road in Williamstown. We were on a T intersection and we saw an fj sedan coming towards us on the T and tried to take the corner but slammed into a pole on the intersection, with a crash and shower of sparks!
The driver got out, blood on his face looked at what happened and staggered back into the car. We kids ran and told our parents. Police and ambos arrived.
I believe the 2 males in the front and the female in teh back were all pissed. Funny the stuff i remember!

This FE tried to overtake a Tram on the right hand side in Swanston Street, Melbourne. A mistake you'd only make once. Sandwiched between 2 trams!

Lucky it was the sunvisor and not the motor that hit him
