Ed wrote:I guess Mark would need to decide, but I always found the quirky set up kind of endearing to these old girls.

based on my previous wagons, id keep it 2 piece. I like being able to use the tailgate as a chair.

Im not sure if the glass could be sunk down, because when I modified the frame, I cut the top half which has the smaller taper.. meaning if it were moved down the glass would not be wide enough.

Cheers
Ed
I will be keeping it a two peice. Dont like the one peice ones. Cheers Mark

I'm not sure if Mark was going to post some pics.. so here are some more.

With some careful planning you can use the cargo glass without cutting it.

i havent finsihed up the channel yet... this is the glass propped in place with some rubber seal to get the position correct.
Cheers
Ed

Trev,

The plan is to use glue along the lower edge, with the std seal modified to cover the glue so it will look factory.

i'm making a return edge on the cut to give it some strength and a surface to glue the glass.

Cheers

Wish I was there to watch how the whole thing is done, Ed.
This 'High Tech/Big Balled' stuff fascinates me. Makes me wish I had a donor body to 'play' with (I'd give it a go with project 'E Kool').
Are you going to do the same procedure with the tail gate glass too? ..and will that be difficult to do with the handle getting in the way? (Just asking as I don't have a wagon here to get the measurements.)
