hey matty, the back corners are a shit of a shape.....but wat we have done is made the panel out of two sections of sheet metal and joined them in the middle of the speaker, using the speaker to screw through onto pre cut out and mounted wood, theflat piece up to the speaker is easy the the corner just takes alot of cutting and bending until it slots in. hope that helps, hard to explain.

you have explained it very well thanks, i never thought of using metal... what ever i end up doing up in those corners
(when i get the time to face them) is sure to cause some MAJOR headaches....

Just a different way to do them is with 3mm ply wood, you have to soak it to bend to the shape (be patent).
I made mine this way and made small access panels for the rear lights, Trev 8) .
