I think that about quite a few of the cars I've had, thats why I would never (life or death situation only) sell the cars I have now. Unfortunately it used to come down to the $$$ and what ever car I had would be gone, only ever made good money on 1 car and it wasn't a fortune  .
Reddo, I really loved your blue and white sedan, Trev 8) .

i very rarely regret selling a car because they can be done again and usually you can improve on the previous

Yup..
When i advertised the car on ebay i got about 4 emails from people who had worked on the car up around Brissy .
I bought it localy off a bloke that worked at the Newcastle RAAF base.
I had a reserve of $9800 on it.. it sat at 6800 for a week.. then in the last minute or so the guy from Cudgie Beach threw one bid of $9800 on it and won it.

When i asked him how he knew the reserve.. He said he didnt. Just bid the max he was prepared to pay and bid his one bid... and won it.
If he hadnt been near a computer i would have probably owned it a bit longer... But... knowing me it still would have sold long ago now.

Got a phone call from a forum member in relation to a gearbox i am chasing. He said he sees the car fairly regularly. It has been living out in the open not far from the beach... and is rapidly deteriorating

I wish he hadnt told me that :(
Last time i spoke with the owner i gave him my contact number. Told him to ring me first if ever he was gunna sell it.... maybe i am better off just blanking it out of my mind. The pain of seeing it knocked about would be too much for me...

Exactly, If I had the chance to keep it I would of, and would still be with me today, if it weren't for some lowlife dogs.
The amount of cars I've gone through, Buying Building and Selling cause I don't like them or got bored from them. I hate to count how much I've spent  ......................Just Stupid.
Had a mate at the same time, when we all got our licences together. He went out and bought a 69 or 70 Cooper S for a Couple of grand there abouts. Didn't come out with us on Friday or Sat Nights, Stayed home to pay off his loan. We used to pay him out big time...............
He Owned his 1st house before we had girlfriends, whilst we were still tinkering with cars............................. At that age, Owning a house was the last thing we wanted.............. Again How Friggen Stupid.
