Its ok Harko i cut the door frames of a very rusty wagon which donated the roof as well have heaps of other cuts to take of it before it goes to the tip.Excellent work Ed

I'm assuming by Tiger's Teeth you're meaning the little strip that holds FE & FC headlings up. If yes, I've been looking for that stuff for ages both here and O/S and I reckon this would be a very good alternative. Available at upholstery suppliers.

UPDATE:
Patched up the C pillar, now one side and ¾ of the roof rail is complete, I can turn my attention to the other side.
And a side profile shot with the new roof rail.

Good work ! Ide be very interested in the front screen mould if you are doing that. Might be a good idea to make a couple of screens for spares just in case.

I was looking at the latest build photos and the thought came to me to ask ..what are you going to do with the rear wagon side windows?? Are you going to cut them or are you going to sink them into the rear 1/4?
A chopped wagon will look magic but I always wondered how the rear side windows would be done? Them being a rather difficult shape 'n' all.

Moving along Ok, but hit my first speed hump today.... rust, I will need to do a fairly major replacement of the RHS roof rail from the quarter window forward to B pillar. Before I do this, I need to join the rear of the roof and rear pillar so I have some good stable reference points to work off.
So will move forward a step, then back two then on again... pics to come.

mark reckons he can get a screen, if this doesn't work out I will make a fibrelgass mould to these specs... ie to suit a 3 inch vertical shop with a 1,3/8" expansion on the top edge.
A coupe spare for sure, and a couple extra for another chop! I would have preferred to work according to an available screen but it's still OK.

I'm sinking the glass into the quarter panel.. it will create the illusion of cut glass, you can see how the window shape is the same despite the chop. Ive been pondering the best way to do this, but will get the lid on first and come back to it.

Rust... I hate rust.
rust in the RHS rail in a particularly difficult spot where there are more layers of metal than a Sara Lee Golden Pastry.

Luckily I have a spare rust free section to replace it with.

before anything I need to join the rear rail, and pillar to provide stability. brace up the rear quarter window opening so it doesn't move... cut out the appropriate size section, and then fix.
so I'll do the Paula Abdul and go 2 steps forward and 3 back.. or something like that.

yor correct they're toughened they can't be cut, even in laminated it would be difficult to cut because of the tight curve in the rear

For anyone else tuning in this is my brother in laws EH that we brought from Marks house long before Mark had bought the house and it was my brothers Aunties house.
He forgot to grab the front screen when we picked it up and ten years later when Mark owned it the windscreen was still there in the shed Spooky stuff
