My 3 year old daughter had a drive yesterday around the paddock. I got the ute blue slipped today. Had a bit of a set back with oil pouring out of the breather on the fuel pump. Luckily I had a kit for a vintage 6 cylinder chev. The oil seal fitted so we were back in business.
The car drove well. I had to get used to 50 year old steering, 3 on the tree and my straw hat on my head
Sam will register her of Saturday and he can have his maiden voyage.

Not sure about the space of time. We just did a freshen up on Sams ute not a full nut and bolt resto.
The car was that original I didnt want to paint it all.
I really tried hard to keep the original patina in the engine bay, cabin and underside.
needless to say the car is not perfect and once the paint dulls down a little it should look like its never been done.
Sams hanging to go for his first drive this morning. He has a heap of fruit and veg deliveries.
