Gear box overhaul kit.

Post by fastjbav6 »

Hello Guys,
Where is the best place to buy crash box overhaul kit these days?
Rare Spares are selling for just under $320 and none available in WA.
Muscle & Classic Parts in Campbellfield VIC 3061 are selling for just under $196, same part number 7430864 as Rare Spares.
Haven't purchased a kit in over 30 years.
Regards Seb

I bought mine from Rares a few years ago Seb, but it wasn't $320 .......

I guess if that mob in Melbourne have them for under $200 that would be the way to go ????
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I think they're a single row bearing for that price. Fitted a 2nd hand unit in the FC for now.

You are right - they are a single row bearing. I am at the pointy end of a gearbox rebuild , just waiting on a new extension housing seal and its all done. Ended up using the original bearing rather than the single row in the kit.
