I was given the name of a company in (Sydney) Padstow that clean and powdercoat rims. (their name is quite tacky: "Mr Clean")
They are pretty reasonable in price (I think) at $35 a rim. For that price, they will "blast" the rim to first clean it. They then powdercoat the rim in your choice of colours - to give a tough, durable finish.
I dont know a lot about the Powdercoating process, but my understanding is that it is more durable and less prone to chipping than spraypainting? Would be interested to know wha you think/know about powdercoating rims ? ...
Anyway, I'm going down to speak with these guys direct next Saturday and check out their colour range (hopefully they will be able to colour match my FB colour).
