If this was Smokey and the Bandit, it would need a Screaming Chicken on the bonnet. Given it's more an FB than a Firebird, we might have to settle for a Screaming Bonnet Budgie.

Bit more done last night , resealed the gearbox and painted it up ready for reinstalling today - BIG difference between Rare Spares grey motor grey and the old PowerPlus PP427 grey motor grey-

While I had it apart I noticed this bit here had a heap of movement in it so cleaned it up and zapped it up with the welder

Kicked on - was hoping to get the bulk of it done tonight and get it back on the ground, got the engine mounts all done , linkages in and rebushed the bottom of the column , a job that would have been a HELL of a lot easier while the engine was out ImageImage , tailshaft and handbrake all sorted, clutch slave etc , polished the rocker cover and fitted it so I could fill it with oil then got the oil pump primer out and gave it a spin to see if I had oil pressure and that’s when it all went to shit ImageImageImage
Spun the pump for 15 or so seconds and it siezed solid 🤬🤬] hoping it’s some kind of weird hydraulic lock or something- have given up for the night and will find out tomorrow if it’s OK or if it’s all coming out again………..

Fukn motor cars 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I’m feeling you mate, took the Ute to work the other day, parked and then saw a trail of transmission oil
Took the Ute because the suspension on my Monaro was feeling really bad, found the top of the shock towers were loose :esurprised: and it had developed a miss in the engine, think it is an injector, so yesterday changed injectors  then pulled the Ute into my workshop put it up on stands and found one of the transmission lines leaking, had to make a new one.
