Just take it to Nullarbor and it should loosen up so you can weld it in. Seriously though, I vaguely recall using a press to put them in three years ago.

Heading out in the morning to put the front end and diff in the ute to bring home tomorrow.
I didn't realise spacers where needed to install the upper and lower control arm bushes correctly so have just nipped it all up to get it home on the trailer .
I have checked the forum and found the lower spacer should be 38/40 mm but havent found anything for the top spacer size ? Would anyone happen to know ? This is a HR disc front .
The next thing I didn't take notice of when I stripped it is the configuration of the washers and rubbers for the top front shock mounts .
Is it washer rubber washer install the shock then rubber and washer on the top side ? Or washer rubber install the shock and rubber then washer on the top side ?
What spacers are you talking about mate ? the shims to align it that fit between the upper control arm swivel pin and the crossmember ? Can you take a pic and show us ? Same with the shock rubbers, some of them have a thin shim along with the thicker washers - I am not certain but I usually put washer, rubber, shim, install shock , rubber, washer, nut.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hi mate
Apparently there is a tool you use that goes between the lower control arms and cross member when installing the new bushes so you get the rite gap and torque setting. Spacer was probably the wrong word .
Yep - control arm spacers, as per the below (this image from the FE/FC manual):

I haven't got the HR manual here, but my notes say that the upper tool (3A12) is different to the lower tool (3A11). I've got both tools at home to measure or loan you, but am a fortnight or so before I get home.
