Picked this up at a market this morning for very little. Hopefully the mirror will swap over to the FB/EK mirror arm. Anyone know what this was originally for? The part no on the arm is 7408242 with 6 on the next line followed by “No 2”.
Thanks

The part number 7406907 was later superseded by 7430042. The mirror was offered as the standard interior mirror for EJ+EH Prem Sedans, EH Prem wagons and HD+HR Prem sedans and wagons.

It was also offered as an Accessary glareproof internal mirror for FB, EK and (EJ/EH/HD/HRs not listed above).

7408242 is the FE interior mirror support.

Cheers,

That looks very much like the FE FC mirror stalk Stephen. Will bolt up to front two holes in the body, but the stalk won’t interchange with ek.

Some progress, passenger door back on, glass in and door trim sorted. Drivers door off, hinge fixed, quarter vent window fixed. Bench seat out and carpet out. Just waiting on rubber floor mat.

If anyone wants the black carpet sing out. Has holes for dip switch, accelerator and floor mount seat belts. Can deliver to the Nats soon.

My rubber floor mat has not arrived after 13 weeks so it looks like the carpet is going back in  With the Nats not far away i better get my arse into gear. Have laid out sound deadener. Heater is installed and got the water valve rigged up to the control lever.

Thanks Clay
I should have ordered the floor mat earlier, it was always going to be a long shot!

It would be interesting to know why there is such a long delay on the floor mats , its been that way since forever
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
