Meet Monty

Post by DieHard »

After 11 + years in storage it’s time to restore my EK wagon nicknamed Monty.
Plans are to complete a sympathetic restoration retaining as many original features and paint as possible.
We are 2 weeks into removing and replacing all rust. Here are some progress pictures. Image

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I think overall he’s the n ok nick. The floors are bad, all need replacing. On the upside all sills are good, just looks like this was a Vic country car on dirt roads. I’ve dislodged what looks like sedimentary rock from every orifice up the front. A few more days of cutting and welding and we should be almost ready to start the assembly process. Image
