Re: Grey Motor teardown
I believe that both rope seals are impregnated with graphite. Its more about the structure of the fibers that makes them different. Mr Gasket in the US seem to have a wide variety of seals similar to the ones I used but the ones I used were leftover stock from another job so not sure what make or ...

Re: Grey Motor teardown
Hey Dave. A word of warning, if you are reassembling the engine yourself don't use the Permaseal rope rear main seal that comes in the engine reconditioning set. They are rubbish!!! Hi Blacky. I am in Kingsley ( near Wanneroo ) The car has been blasted and is in epoxy primer. I have completed most of the rust repairs which I hope to finish in the next few weeks. Hoping to have the car painted by the end of October weather permitting. Cheers Peter

Re: All Aussie Day Waroona
Hi Blacky
Would have liked to catch up, at least at Cockburn ( don't think the EK would make it to Waroona until a new radiator is fitted) but unfortunately I am working this Sunday. Sometimes it sucks being a shift worker. Hope everyone has a great day !!
Cheers
