yeah i dont get it, heaps of people pass it on for others to do, its just as easy as emailing them. Seriously, go through it step by step with instruction (there are some. i think they are a sticky in My FB/EK). it took me a while, but i got it eventually. i dont mean to offend anyone

Front Chassis Rails

Hey guys, im going to be getting some new front chassis rails folded up sometime next week, my questions are:

Do i need to take the subframe off to put the new front chassis rails in?

Also if im taking the subframe off i presume i have to remove the front end and engine \gearbox is this right ...

i forgot to mention, if you want the pods inside they tend to sell them at places like JB Hi Fi or an actual car stereo store

yeah thats one of the places you could cut them. you WILL need a pod on the back otherwise the speakers will get ruined and quick. in terms of where to get them, you would need to make your own, either out of fibreglass (read up on it, there is stuff all over the net, or make something out of metal ...

g'day andrew,

I plan on doing the same sought of thing sometime in the near future, except ill probably make my own pods down in the kick panel, the one thing you have to remember is that it NEEDS to be out of the way of the pedals, otherwise its just not worth it, another thing ive seen people do ...

The rails that the subframe bolts into underneath the ute that go from the sills, to the hump and have a t junction a quarter of the way from the sill end, are buggered on my ute, how hard is it to fabricate these myself? also i beleive that its supposed to go along the hump and onto the ...

yeah a meetup sounds good, god knows i have nothing better to do with my time, if only the ute was ready for a cruise though :( . Im still having difficulties getting someone to do my chassis rails for me, and finishing off the wiring thats all unplugged...

yeah matty, stud adapters, i got them today, i hope to try them out tomorrow, ill post pictures tomorrow hopefully. I always wondered how good they were so i just bought some and ill be able to shed some light to others.
