Hi,
I am after a passenger side vent window for an EK. It doesn't need to be perfect, but bolts need to not be rusted so they can't be undone. Would anyone have one that they could post to Vic.

Door Trim Chrome
I am in need of the curved piece of chrome on the drivers side door trim. Does anyone have one of they don't need? I'm happy to buy the entire door trim if I need too.
Prefer in Melbourne somewhere so I can pick it up, but happy to also pay for postage if somewhere else.

Re: To timing gear or not to timing gear
I agree. I got my cam gear from American Autos last week and posted to Victoria. By the time I bought all of the gaskets and seals as well, it was about $20 cheaper than Rare Spares in Melbourne.

Re: Grey Motor Harmonic Balancer?
Correct. PowerBond Balancer. Part number is HB17B-N and box says FJ to EJ. The 11A fan belt fits nicely. I just needed confirmation that it was correct harmonic balancer as it was different and reading this thread I still wasn't sure.

Re: Grey Motor Harmonic Balancer?
Thanks Blacky. Since I took it off and cleaned all the crud off it, there is some movement and also had a speedy sleeve on it in the past, I thought it needs a new one.

Re: Grey Motor Harmonic Balancer?
So the newer type (without the large weight on the front) available from places like Rare Spares, is OK to replace the old type and I don't need to buy two separate pieces and rivet/screw them together?

I have found one, thanks Harv. Picking it up today. It's the type with thread in the middle.

Re: Removing Harmonic Balancer
Thanks Devilrod. That was the plan. I've found one to borrow. Saw one on ebay for $75. A lot of cash for what will probably be a one off use for me. I can't believe after having it on club permit for a month or so, I've had gear linkages come off, generator let go and now this.

Re: Removing Harmonic Balancer
Thanks Bootlegger. Agree, but it was making a loud knocking before it died, but idling OK. Others there said it sounded like a conrod, but as I said, it turns over easily by hand. The two dont seem to add up.

Removing Harmonic Balancer
Would anyone have a harmonic balancer puller tool for a grey motor I could borrow? My EK motor met an untimely death last week. I am able to turn engine over by hand. All pistons move but pushrods dont move so need to take harmonic balancer off. I am on the Morninton Peninsula.

Re: New Brakes for EK
Thanks Blacky. Not sure if they're beyond machining. Bloke told me they were stuffed because they had soaked in brake fluid too long.

New Brakes for EK
Hello,
I bought an EK a few weeks ago to sit beside my HT, so only new here. I took it to exhaust place to fix the exhaust and asked if he could look at my brakes. My knowledge for brakes goes to adjusting them only. He said they're stuffed. New cylinders, shoes, drums, etc. Fluid leaked everywhere ...
