Re: Matt's 61 EK

Did you end up buying the heater of blacky mate?
I might be interested if you didn't

Sorry for the late reply mate. Yes, I did.

Finally got the old girl home yesterday. I was in QLD for work when the rain hit, so came home earlier than expected. Gave me a few days up my sleeve that I wasn't ...

Gosh you're a helpful lot!

Thanks Mick, that's just what I'm after. Feel free to send me a PM with a price.

Cheers,

Portable radio w/ cradle for EK

Hi all,
I'm specifically looking for a cradle to suit a Ferris super 8 portable radio.
Or, a complete portable radio with cradle. Diamond dot/Air Chief/Ferris etc
Let me know what you have.

Cheers,

Matt

Re: Matt's 61 EK

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Glad you can see my fascination with period accessories. Personally, I think it's the only way to go :)

I know what you're saying about radios (especially factory options) being horrendously expensive back in the day, and along the lines of what you said, I'm ...

Re: Matt's 61 EK

Thanks for the welcome Steve. There's a heap of paperwork with the car, including manuals etc, and the previous owner is constantly finding new treasures for me. He lives in the same house he build in 1962, so he has a LOT of "stuff" to go through. I'm hoping the original purchase receipt shows up ...

Re: Matt's 61 EK

Nice score  . I bet the old owner would've been a bit sad to see the car go.

Their FJ looks pretty nice too

It was an extremely emotional day. However, he's 85 years old, and is happy to see the car go to someone that appreciates it.

The FJ is nice.
They've both sat where you see ...

Thanks for the welcome guys!
Excellent! Any chance you could PM me with some details?

What a great EK, I love the colour combo as well. It's always nice knowing the history of a car. Welcome to the forum ...

Re: Matt's 61 EK

Thanks for the welcome mate.

A warmaride, original (or at least period) radio, venetians and visor are on the wanted list.
I've gone a little wild with modifying previous cars. This one is staying completely stock.

Matt's 61 EK

G'day all,
I stumbled upon fbekholden.com quite some time ago. Back when owning my own EK was still just a dream. It's been a wealth of information so far!
However, I've only just registered, so thought I'd better say hi :)

My family (father and grandfather) have always been car nuts, more ...
