Good idea about pre positioning mounts My next buggy is what gearbox for the 186 that will require least mucking ...

Re: LC - LJ disc brake setup on hr xmember
this is the cross member I have.
Notice the two engine mounts, I was told they are for 186 and 202?
I have'nt had any experience with hr stuff and compatibility knowledge, though I am mechanically minded (aircraft maintainer on choppers).
Regarding the position of the mounts would I keep them in ...

Re: LC - LJ disc brake setup on hr xmember
Thanks rob, your info is GOLD mate
My thoughts are know playing with a 186 or 202 as both mounts are on the cross member.
The only thing is is knowing what matches with what and what is the least hassle to upgrade. I love the nostalgia of the grey, but, with todays traffic conditions a ...

All quiet on the re-build front
Hi all FBEKers,
Been a while since I posted due to work commitments interstate and cant see regular access to my red and bus any time soon.
It starting to feel like the old ad quote "It wont happen overnight but it will happen"
I was home about 2 months ago and accomplished the following:

Flocked Bailey Channel and Door Belt install
Hi all,
Installed Flocked type bailey channel with no real drama, but the the door belts were a bit more challenging. Not much room to manipulate the second strip and
the distance between the them will make the window a tight fit. Is this usual when replacing ?

Lex, your seals are a very different profile to mine - but have the same Rares part number. Got me beat!

Re: HELP!! How To Glue Quarter Vent Seal (uprght channel)
Steved57,
I haven't glued them yet...here is my interpretation of the installment;
The seal has a small c - channel profile that I have assumed allows for the 7 raised ' bumps" where the metal strip tabs originally sat.
The only flat side of the seal contacts up against the inner side wall of the ...

Re: HELP!! How To Glue Quarter Vent Seal (uprght channel)
Hi Stewart,
My quarter window vent seals were missing so I didn't have anything to go off except removing the metal strips.
So I've come up with this as the position the seal needs to be when glueing. Is this correct?
I'll clean and paint before putting th seal in
