Billy,
Just seen the post and thought I'd jump in.
I experienced the same problem. Exchange front end from Rares with Rares new rubber kit and the outrigger nose ended up bout 27mm from bolting up. I had a heap of calls with them and took measurements and offsets but they had no explanation. Said ...

Re: Fuel pump not working. Could I have installed it wrong?
Also a good idea. I removed the hose on the inlet side and then held my finger on the pump while cranking it over. Didn't feel any suction.
Perhaps I start again.

Re: Fuel pump not working. Could I have installed it wrong?
Thanks. I'll try tomorrow with the container elevated above the pump. Perhaps even pour some fuel down the hose.
It is a mechanical pump though, not electric. I'd thought cranking the engine enough should have drawn the fuel in.

Fuel pump not working. Could I have installed it wrong?
The EK is in the build stage but I'm so keen to run the engine to keep it ticking over and for a bit of a milestone.
Red 3.3 from a VB. I have everything connected but the fuel isn't drawing from the temporary tank. Engine fires when fuel poured down the carby. I have a about 0.5m of hose to a fuel ...

Re: Red Motor. EH sump. New Dipstick location?
Thanks,
You're right. The 3.3 has the dipstick direct into the sump at the front.
Today I removed the EH sump, and knocked out the little plug in the back of the block for the normal dipstick position.
I'll go and buy a new tube and stick and hopefully it will read accurate.

Red Motor. EH sump. New Dipstick location?
Hi There.
I have fitted a 202 into the EK and have EH sump and pickup also. The red is actually a 3.3 from a VB and has the dipstick tube to the front of the block. Obviously with the EH sump the oil pan is to the back of the engine. Looking for advise on putting a plug in the front tube location ...

Re: New HR front. Outrigger gap at subframe
Yeah. Sorry said bushes but did buy the rare spares rubber kit.
Should I just bolt the 4 main bolts lightly then fit the
Outrigger firm then just crank the 4 bolts tight ? Worried it will
Only Distorts the rubber. It's like the outrigger angle
Is welded on low ?

New HR front. Outrigger gap at subframe
I Recently purchased the Rare Spares HR crossmember exchange with the EK outrigger fitted.
I also bought the R.S. set of new bushes to bolt it in.
The 4 main bolts and bushes fitted up pretty easy. I have about a 7 -8mm gap between Xmember and sub-frame, but the front outrigger with the square bush ...

HR crossmember exchange.. Removing Control Arm
I'm looking for some advice on how to remove the lower control arm pin (threaded axle) that goes through the crossmember.
I am preparing a standard HR disc brake front end for exchange for a Rare Spares one. I've removed the hubs, axles, upper and lower control arms and are back to a bare ...
