hi all,
I ran into someone the other day who suggested the generator may be playing up and delivering low voltage. Would this cause the problems decribed? How do you tell if the gennie is up to speed?

I have fitted the H4s, flat lens. The improvement in seeing where i am driving is great, and im not too phased with the flat look, although i do prefer the original so might chase up the plastic covers you have.

Hi Jeff,
I purchased the H4 lights ($120), but now Im not sure if I like the 'flat' . I wouldn't mind buying a halogen bulb ot fit the old light as you suggested so might give it a go. If i end up staying with the flat ones I will let you know but Im defintiley trying to keep he original stuff as ...

went ahead and purchased the H4 conversion, however the back of my original lights have a 'light bulb' style fitting, that is, a metal cup with wiring attached and three pins screas over the back of the light which contacts the base of the bulb which is the same as a light bulb.

Fixed it, thanks for the advice. I don't think it was earthing on the dizzy properly as Rosco suggested. I ended up pulling the dizzy out and giving it a minor service.

Hi ya,
The wagon spent a couple of days in the rain and now won't start.
Checked dizzy with cap off and no spark between points. Took lead from coil to dizzy and held dizzy end close to motor while turning over, no spark.
