it was mostly welded but im only new to welding and i was struggling so i thought it would prolly be ok but if u think it will crack i better sand it back and redo it i guess =\

hey mate look the quickest easiest way to do a colour change is to just do this:
select paint brush
choose size to rough fit for item being painted
select mode as hue
find your swatches pallete so you can pick a colour
then paint away
took me literaly 5 seconds to paint the roof of your car a ...

yeh im aware of the other carbs but i managed to get these for a good price and they are fully reconditioned top to bottom and they came on a new manifold.
i also have a set of triple strommies on a cain manifold i got with the motor too, still dunno if ill end up running those yet depends if the SU ...

what did u do to strip the engine back before you painted it? did u pull the motor to bits or what?

well i drilled all the welds out on the battery box and removed it so i could get the SU's in place properly for a test fit and measure to cutout the firewall
i ended up not doing what i did in the photoshoped version above. it would have been way more room then neccesary so i only moved the ...

so... i photoshoped a very rough idea of what i think it will look like if i modify the firewall for the triple SU's

=0 no idea i havent looked for a aircon unit yet.. or a radiator...
i got my car in a million parts so i am just trying to get something done on it a bit at a time. i think i woulda been better of getting a complete one for my first renovator =\

alright i need a few opinions and a reason for your opionin would help me greatly..
should i run, the 1 3/4 triple SU carbys that are fully reconditioned from the XU1
cut the firewall and move it back a inch behind the carbs which would also make room for my extractors and save me modifying those ...

hi guys been a while since i posted a update have moved house and everything so moving the ute and all its part was rather time consuming also been to a wedding and had the inlaws and so much stuff that ive barely had any time... so heres a few pics, i managed to get my hands on a pretty nice motor ...

are standard extractors ok for triple carb application & stage 1 cam, in a standard red 202 or do i need to get something better? im just trying to get gear together to assemble my engine, and is it worth slapping roller rockers in there?
