Plenty for me to look at there, Rob ... I really appreciate the in depth response and info.
I'll do some diagnostics and report back.

Re: Grey motor Stromberg carburettor(s)
Thanks for that, Harv ... understood.
If you do end up getting under the house, I'm VERY keen on one ... especially before the run down to the Nationals.
I've got serval issues with mine ... will be easiest to just replace it.

Re: Timing Light ! Finding the White Mark !
Thanks for all your help. After some trial and error .. I resolved the issue. You need to set the dizzy to the UC mark ... not the timing mark
Cheers

Re: EK Fuel Gauge pegs to the right on ignition.
Great news ... got the sender going ! Thanks for all the help and suggestions, Guys.
I popped the cover off and gave the sender area it's regular 60+ year clean up ... but still no joy.
It's clear the earth for the sender is through the 6 screws holding it in place .. so I backed each one off ...

EK Fuel Gauge pegs to the right on ignition.
Hi Guys
My fuel gauge flies way over to the right on ignition.
Clearly some sort of short.
Had a quick look behind the dash and everything looks ok ... where should I be looking for the culprit ?
Thanks
