hello everyone,
I've seen different placement for the rubbers on EK panel van rear tailgates in various photos - how were they originally installed at the factory?
Were they
a) on the body only around the entire opening ?
b) on the upper tailgate itself (and not on the corresponding upper part of ...

Re: Rattling exhaust manifold valve
Thanks for that, thought there may have been more than just the thermo spring involved
- does anyone know a part number for clip/ spring for the flap or someone who may have one/reproduces them?
cheers

Rattling exhaust manifold valve
Any suggestions to stop the exhaust manifold valve from rattling all the time (noticeable especially when I'm slowing to a stop). Would replacing the 'heat riser thermostat bi metal coil' help? (just found some for sale ).
thanks folks

Re: Idling- not my van's strong point-ideas?
thanks gents for all your input.
The faster idle adjustment has helped-it's about 60-70% smoother at idle , there didn't seem to be any manifold leak based on the wd 40 test and Trev your suggestion is my next port of call.
cheers

Re: Idling- not my van's strong point-ideas?
Thanks fellas- will give both a go this arvo.
Fingers I'm in Dromana- it's not been long since a spruce up (plugs/points/etc) so I reckon some attention to the carby might be the way to go.
cheers

Idling- not my van's strong point-ideas?
Hi folks,
my EK van (stock 138 engine, carb, exhaust) is running really well out on the highway - power when you need it, no flat spots when accelerating, no screaming revs (loving the 3.55 diff- the only mod to date -I can hear the radio now!) but at the lights...... it's very rough- very shaky, a ...

Bump stop for clutch pedal
Hello- my clutch bump stop is knackered and needs replacing and I've been warned off the rare spares replacement (just for something different...!)
I've found NOS ones for FE/FC and was wondering if these will work in my EK van. The part number listed for those was 7409749.
thanks everyone.
