Chopped - Newstead (Vic) Oct 3,4,5

For anyone who hasn't been before, it's like a 1940's version of summernats, with dirt racing, classic cars, camping, drinking, live music, and madness!

Re: Our new R Series Valiant

That'd certainly be a UNIQUE couch! We're actually planning on listing it on eBay for $5K in the hopes that someone might be able to use ALL of the parts on it, or (god knows it'd take 'em YEARS of weekends) actually bring it back to life... I drove it around this arvo, and BOY is it a go-ha...

Re: Our new R Series Valiant

We were insured with Shannons, but since it was completely the other driver's fault (and he was insured with RACV) we're going after them for compensation.

And yeah, we were VERY surprised to find one in such good nick come up for sale RIGHT when we needed oneQ

Our new R Series Valiant

Some of you guys might have heard about our horror crash in Steve's thread where our beautiful 1962 RV1 was written off by a thoughtless old bastard driving a late-model Mercedes, but our 18-month-old daughter walked away unscathed... Well, we managed to find another car - this time a white manual r...

Re: valley mist rebirth

Steve - The car had a 149 when I got it, with the original crashbox in it. When it started blowing a tonne of smoke, I figured rather than a rebuild, since it was registered with a red anyways, I'd get a 186 put into it. I got Greg out at Holdies to do the swap-over for me, and was really happy with...

Re: valley mist rebirth

Steve's been shooting me the odd photo of how he's been going with my old car, but most of these are new to me as well. Looking great Steve! SO happy that someone took her on as a project rather than just parting her out, and SO glad it wasn't a teenager who'd just blast the shell, then give up and ...
