I would use the KBS tank repair kit. Made in Australia, the same as POR15 but cheaper by miles

Thanks Tim, couldn't remember the name of the Aussie one!

You can always get another tank, just check it carefully first to make sure it's not too rusty or full of pin holes..

I do a heap of tanks. You probably dont want to hear this but if you have a tiny pin hole the other side will be rust about ten mm in diameter. I usually split the tsnks and get them sandblasted Inside and the weld them back togetber repairing the holes.
I did a bike tank that way today.

How bad is it? Post up a pic. You could do the cheap and nasty fix using kneed-it if its only a couple of holes. I've repaired a tank like this on the side of a road and never touched it again. Or if its really bad you can get the POR15 tank repair kit but that's a do it yourself type thing ...

Hey there!

My FB petrol tank is corroding on the upside (so into the boot)
The smell is making for some serious petrol head moments and dizziness - Not as fun at is sounds :deaddd:

Can anyone recommend somewhere to take the old girl to get this sorted? Preferably someone that's not a rip off and ...

It's my daily driver so it's getting rained on alot!
