Thanks everyone for all the help.
I've been keeping track of it and it sounds pretty right.
Had a few warm days with no sign. After about 15mph it's all good on first application.
Will definitely look into a chamfer and radius grind.
Thanks again

Front driver side brake locking up on startup
Hi, Having a bit of a problem with the front driver side brake locking up when I first go to drive. A slight touch of the brakes and the brake locks on hard for a second. • I’ve had my brakes completely rebuilt (drums all round, new flexible hoses, steel lines, stainless cylinders and stainless mast...

Re: Starting a reco engine
Hey guys, Just priming the oil in my reconditioned engine. Using a 10mm rod, with end profiled for the oil pump, in the drill. I get 30psi no problems, can hear oil moving around. Not getting anything at the rockers. Tried for about 5 minutes. Do you need something on the end that seals to the block...

Flywheel cover
Hey guys,
Just checking which side is the engine side for the cover plate. Engine and transmission are back in, can't quite see.
Thanks!

Re: HELP! ADVICE! - UPPER/LOWER INNER SHAFT BUSH
Brilliant, thanks for the help!
They were on fairly tight to begin with, soaked them for a while prior to try to avoid stripping anything.
A couple seem worn more than the others, I've picked up another front end with better threads and will see how it all goes back together.
Thanks

Re: HELP! ADVICE! - UPPER/LOWER INNER SHAFT BUSH
Hi everyone, I've just taken apart the front end and found that pretty much all inner shafts have stripped threads on the support arms. Just adding on to the above post. I haven't found any oversized bushes to rethread for. Has anyone else solved this problem with a helicoil or will this take too mu...

Hi J did this a couple of months ago. Drained the tank. We cut the fuel sender wire before removing (hope that wasn't a mistake!) , remove the cap then the rubber on the outside from the 'filleryuppery tube thingo'. Take the fuel line off and screws like you said. And when you take it out - lift it ...

lowering questions
Just after some more info about lowering (2inch) , hopefully it hasn't been covered before. Why are dropped stub axles better/prefered over lowered springs? It is best to get and decide on the wheels before lowering isn't it? How do you tell if the current leaf springs are no good, can you measure t...

I would like to do as much as possible myself and wondering what is the best way to do it. Do i ... buy seperate parts (tie rods, bushes, ball joints, discs ...) and cheap crossmember with just crossmember and control arms? If so are the ball joints riveted on/easy to remove from control arms? OR pa...
