Had a few warm days with no sign. After about 15mph it's all good on first application.
Will definitely look into a chamfer and radius grind.

Hey guys, Just priming the oil in my reconditioned engine. Using a 10mm rod, with end profiled for the oil pump, in the drill. I get 30psi no problems, can hear oil moving around. They were on fairly tight to begin with, soaked them for a while prior to try to avoid stripping anything.
A couple seem worn more than the others, I've picked up another front end with better threads and will see how it all goes back together.

We cut the fuel sender wire before removing (hope that wasn't a mistake!) , remove the cap then the rubber on the outside from the 'filleryuppery tube thingo'.
