Bought a convertor , seller doesn't seem too keen on packing into a box for transit and taking to a depot in West Ipswitch.
Happy to pay whatever ...

Yeah I know Mick    you would have helped out but I went to Repco early ( 10 am ) when they first opened up and had got everything I thought I needed. The walk up the hill was a bugger but coming back was a lot betterer .

Re: red 138
Anyone heard of a red 138?????
Yep,
Got one in me shed, came out of an LC Torana, has trimatic attached.
Externally they look like any other red motor but have 138 cast into the block.
The engine number prefix also gives 'em away.
Starts with prefix Cd ( or something like that , the engine's ...

Re: Weber Carbies
I fitted a Weber carb from a two litre Cortina ( 32/36 Weber I think ?? ) on to my wifes ( Grumblebum's ) KE70 Toyota Corolla that she had years ago ( I'd fitted a bigger imported Jap 1500 CC engine as opposed to the 1300 CC original ) .
There was some improvement but not overly great , probably ...

Re: red motor question???
The 138 Red motor was rated at 90 horsepower and the 138 grey was rated at 75 horsepower so an extra 15 horses makes the difference.
