Hi Guys - I'll put up pics as the project progresses.

Pic-1: This the old girl as aquired. Got it from the guy across the road that was going to have it scrapped. He got it as a restore project, and after 6-months in his garage decided to change up (!) to an LC Torana.

Thanks for the advice - i go with the 135 probably. Am booking into a welding course at the local tafe starting in February intake (too soon to do one now) - check out "My EK" section for latest pics...

Which MIG?

Time to buy and learn about MIG welding and i was wondering any tips on buying a MIG welder - which model etc.. I have done very, very limited welding in the past - but a long time ago.

My plan is to do plenty of testing and practice prior to starting on the old girl, hence why i'm asking now ...

good to know guys - i guess that after this many years a few more months aint going to hurt. Interestingly there is an old surfie sticker on the inside of the front door, so i think it may have been a beach car as mentioned..

I don't fancy anymore cleaner than necessary...

Has anyone done dipping ...

Blue Engine Help

Good evening -

This is my first tech request :lol: on the forum, i'm sure one of you guys have come across this. My EK has a blue motor, which i know is not the original, i think these came out in the VC, but just wanted to check.
