Re: Archive Picture Thread

Great news article!
As you might remember, my old FB was used in the filming of the Crime Investigations Australia recreation episode about Eric Edgar Cook in 2007.
The episode can be found on youtube.

True! I can't afford a Holden now, that's why I've turned my attention to alternatives....

Re: Central West NSW Barn find....not Holden

It has fins! an offer has been made but we will have to wait for a couple of weeks to find out if its accepted. Yes same body as the Austin Freeway. It actually looks worse than it is, the layer of dirt has preserved the paint and chrome work quite well. It has Bi-Centennial plates on it which still...

Re: Cleaning off 50 years of grease???

I went through this a few years ago with a one owner HR I bought. I tried several things when my neighbour saw me struggling and offered to lend me his Diesel high pressure washer. This is what you need, I'm sure you can rent one from kennards etc. It uses diesel fuel to heat the water to near boili...

Re: Echuca Museum

There is a lot of great stuff in the museum, the last time I was there was in '04 or '05 I think, I have quite a few pics from then.

And yes, I did hit the gift shop like I do at a sale at Peter's of Kensington.

Re: western wreckers at riverstone.

I live about half a K away on the same road where Western Wreckers used to be. I still know John, he has moved to the same town as my parents in central west NSW. We bought and sold some good gear to one another when I used to own early Holdens. John still has some really good stuff in a shed behind...

Does this mean you are diversifying into other Holden models Steve? Please let me know when the museum opens! I'll be a regular.

Keep them coming!

Cheers,
Troy.

Re: 1929 Buick (at a B&B)

There seems to be quite a concentration of these really early cars in the Wagga Wagga area. I have been to a rally for the past few years held over the Queens Birthday long weekend, the town is full of them that weekend!

Re: May not be of interest to all I know.....

Thanks Trev,

Yes, if I had the nerve I would advertise this little rolla for 10 grand (way way more than its worth) just to artificially boost up market values, just like FB and EK's :shh:

May not be of interest to all I know.....

I bet your Mum or your Gran probably owned one of these. My Nan bought one brand new, so did a great Uncle and Aunt of mine (in the same colour) that's why I remember them. So, seen as I can no longer afford an early Holden, I have branched out into older Japanese cars. I have owned a 1969 Mazda 150...
