This is a basic outline of what is required to make your own Log Headers to avoid cutting holes in the inner guards.
I had a set if CRS headers so I cut them off short (about 60mm) and started with the manifold plate and short 1 5/8" exhaust stubs. The headers is 2 1/2" with a 45 degree bend, this will fit nicely between the K frame and Firewall, get an exhaust shop to flare pipe to fit OVER the 1 5/8" and INSIDE the 2 1/2" tube, this is the step up you can see where the front pipe meets the 2 1/2". I also moved my handbrake cable roller up about 20mm to ensure that the cable would not rub on the header.
Note the rear pipe (No 8 cylinder) is almost vertical to start with, this is to gain clearance on the Steering shaft:
Trial fit:
Tack exhaust flange on while header is fitted to car, then make to next exhaust stage to clear to inner guard:
Fully weld, sand smooth and fit again to make sure there is no distortion:
Jethot Ceramic coating is money well spent, helps keep the engine bay cooler and also dramatically increases the life of your headers:
